For use as console: Making Switch:

  1. Take switch from bin
  2. Cut 4 wires, 24awg, 2 black, 1 blue, 1 red
  3. Strip ends of wires, short on 1 side, about 1cm on other
  4. crimp short molex pins onto ends
  5. solder other ends to switch.
    1. Blue to terminal by mark (led positive)
    2. Black opposite it.
    3. Other two terminals get red and black, orientation doesn't matter. (switch)
  6. cut heat shrink to length, slide over wires down to terminal
  7. shrink
  8. twist wire pairs to keep separate
  9. plug pins into molex terminals.
    1. red/black to 2 pin
    2. blue/black to ends of 3 pin

  • Main
    • Boot Features (get right name)
      1. Quick Boot (ON)
      2. Console Redirection (ON)
        • Terminal Type (ANSI)
      3. UEFI Boot (OFF)
  • Advanced
    1. Processor Configuration
      1. Intel ® HT Technology (ON)
      2. Intel ® Virtualization Technology (ON) (Default)
    2. System Agent Configuration
      1. Intel VT for directed IO (ON)
    3. Network Configuration
      1. LAN OPROM Selection (ON)
      2. Wake on PCH LAN (OFF)
    4. AMT Configuration (Maybe needed, built in serial over lan?)
      1. SOL Terminal (ON)
      2. SOL Terminal Type (ANSI)

Flashing BIOS

from readme: Flash Method:

  1. Please make a boot-able Disk which could booting into DOS environment.
  2. Un-zip attached files and copy it into boot-able Disk.
  3. Power on the system and flash the BIOS under the DOS environment.
    1. First, Backup the current BIOS FPT -D nodeXX-XX-bak.bin
    2. The instruction will be "C:/fpt -savemac -f 67J12.BIN"
  4. Please turn off the system and clean CMOS by Jumper.
  5. Turn on the system and update BIOS successful.
