=== Version 2 (CM2) === [[TOC(Hardware,Hardware/jCM, Hardware/jCM/cCM2*, depth=5 )]] The ORBIT Chassis Manager 2 (CM2) is a simple subsystem for automatic and manually driven node hardware management such as local or remote system resets, power on/off operations and remote serial console access as well as monitoring the status of node (such as system temperatures, voltages, fans, power supplies, bus errors, system physical security, etc.). CM2 is similar to its [wiki:Hardware/jCM/bCM1 predecessor], but has a more capable microcontroller, additional nodal wireless interface support, better software portability, wide area wireless control channel support, and location awareness. Development environment is on SB3 console and consists of several components. This version of the CM is no longer used, however the [wiki:Hardware/jCM/cCM2/aHardware hardware], [wiki:Hardware/jCM/cCM2/bDev development], and [wiki:Hardware/jCM/cCM2/cSoftware software] descriptions are provided.
